The Product

HAVEN is a home decor brand that offers cozy and stylish decor, plants & furniture. The typical user identifies as female and is between the ages of 25-34. HAVEN’s goal is to make modern home decor easy, simple and attainable for all users.


The Challenge

Available online shopping websites have cluttered design, too many options for browsing through products and confusing checkout processes.

The User

Our users are adults ages 18-65 who need a simple, reliable home decor retail website that meet their bohemian aesthetic.


The Research

I conducted competitive analysis reports, interviews, built empathy maps and created user personas to understand our users their needs. This research confirmed that there are not many options to order floral arrangements online.

The Design Process

I used my knowledge based on my research to create Paper Wireframes, User Journey Maps, Digital Wireframes, Low-Fidelity Mockups and Low-Fidelity Prototypes.

The Testing

I performed a Usability Study where 5 participants were given a task to complete and provide their feedback on the experience to better inform my choices.


The Iteration

After analyzing and synthesizing the results of the study, it was discovered that our filtering option included material type and price range but the product descriptions did not. I included those details on the product description pages moving forward.
